Title:"On the Beach"
Fair Market Value:$110
Minimum Bid:$25
Current Bid:$75
DescriptionOriginal linoleum cut lithography, # 3 edition of 25. Framed and matted 8" x 10" (4" x 6", image/plate size).
StatementOn our first day at Sapelo, as soon as I arrived at the beach with my camera, I was charmed by the swarms of different sea birds, especially these terns with the black caps. I have now made this lino cut, a "paper lithograph" print, a dry point etching plate, a monotype, and an oil painting, of these birds. I tried to capture the character and gesture of their never-ending search for food, and their oneness with their world.
